Windows user: The backwords compatibility for 20+ years is great for Windows users with older or mixed new/old equipment. Apple doesn't care much about customers with older equipment.

Of course as owner of first versions you can count on a very generous discount to get these.Īnticipating the question we can't release (free) maintenance update of these plug-ins mostly because there are very old plug-ins (last update for any of these was released many years back) and the programming framework we base our releases on has changed to the degree that we're unable to preserve compatibility with current plug-in versions if we wan't to switch to new programming framework's version (this is essential to make our software being compatible with the latest OS) and to adjust our code base to those changes along with switching to new preset management and few other functions that changed on our side during few recent years.Īlso new versions will include lot of new features of course.Ĭlick to expand.If this is positive or negative depends on the point of view (shortened of course): Mind though, new versions compatible with Big Sur won't be released as free maintenance updates, they will be released as entirely new versions (upgrades), meaning v2.0. We're currently working on new versions of all products affected to make them work with the latest macOS (among the others) version however these will be released successively one by one without any particular order in mind. At this moment we don't have any precise dates.
